Katie had seen the senior portrait session I shot for Jessi and wanted something similar.  She was interested in shooting in downtown Huntsville in order to have more urban themed images.   She was a bit nervous, but soon settled in for our hot yet fun session.   We drove to the tracks for a few images, then on to downtown Huntsville and Big Spring Park for more.   Her grandmother and a friend came along for moral support (and to watch).    So, they were able to melt along with Katie and me.

There seems to be some crazy trends in our youth today.   I’ve learned of the joys of planking recently.   Even had a groom to “plank” across the backs of his groomsmen.   As I was leaving Rosie’s last week, I saw a girl stop to “plank” on the entrance and have a friend take her photograph.   Katie’s friend Melissa told me about “coning.”    Seems the fun thing to do is drive through a fast food establishment and order an ice cream cone, then when they hand you the cone you grab just the ice cream off the top and attempt to embarrass the worker at the drive through window.   Not sure I get either of these.   Maybe I’m just getting old!

As we were shooting on the tracks Katie said she wanted to “owl.”   Of course, once again I was clueless, so she went and assumed a pose on the tracks that I can only assume is what this “owling” is all about.   This first image is that pose.   The rest are a few of my favorites from her recent senior portrait photography session here in Huntsville, AL.     I invite you to check out the rest of her images in her client proof gallery here or go over to my facebook page and see what other fun images we captured (she even made it into the fountain for a shot or two).
