Leigh and Jon called and booked me to shoot their Huntsville, AL, wedding, but things got crazy and they ended up moving the wedding to Gulf Shores, AL. I was sad not to be able to photograph their wedding, but thrilled when they contacted me about shooting images of their sweet baby boy.
I had seen pictures of Grayson on Facebook and knew that he had a LOT of hair. I was so excited to get to see it in person. He was just as cute in person, if not cuter! He is so tiny, you wouldn’t think he’d have ALL that hair. But, there it is.
I loved the fact that it was darker at birth and is growing out to be a reddish brown, but the ends are still very dark. It’s so cute!
Initially as we began the session he was all smiles and talking to me. But once I put him in the crate, he was too busy looking around the room to smile. I flipped the crate over and got a few cute shots, then he almost rolled off! He’s never rolled over by himself before, but today he did it twice! Needless to say, his father saved him from the fall – but we still ended up with lot of tears.
Once he was calm I grabbed a few more shots and he was so smiley and cute, but then…more tears.
A bottle and a couple of dirty diapers later, he is happy as a clam and I grab a few more shots. I admit, it takes patience to photograph young children, but I love them so much, it is a great blessing to be able to capture this special time in their lives.
