I was asked by a childhood friend today to help her transform an image of her daughter, who passed away this last year, into a digital painting. Now, I’ve played with this software in the past and was hoping I could make this happen for her. I played for hours today trying to get the technique down and see what I could do. I find that I prefer a bit more detail to remain clear in my images than to have the overall “painter” look. Here are a few samples of what I played with today. I’d love to hear what you think.
