Huntsville has some beautiful venues for weddings, which make for beautiful images for my brides and grooms.   But sometimes, I’m called upon to go outside of Huntsville to shoot a wedding. This weekend I was allowed to second shoot for Elizabeth Bailey of E. Bailey Photography in Birmingham, AL.   She had booked the wedding of Andrea and Jeremy Hamilton at the historic Princess Theater in Decatur, AL.   I’ve shot a reception at the Princess in the past, so I knew it has potential for some cool images.  So, I was excited for another opportunity to be able to shoot at this location.   You can check out their website at http://www.princesstheatre.org/

Penny, the technical coordinator at the Princess, was great, turning on lights at my request, adjusting the theater lights to suit us, etc.  I enjoyed getting to meet her.  She kept a smile on her face throughout the day, which always makes for pleasant company.

It was HOT, we are, after all, in Alabama in July!  So the bride wanted most of her images shot inside the theater.   I did get her outside for one shot in front of the theater, but most images were done in the cool temps of the theater.   I’m going to post a sampling here, but if you’d like to see more, check out my Facebook page at  http://www.facebook.com/lifescapturedmoments

The bride’s parents worship at the Jordan Park church of Christ in Huntsville.   Their members all worked together to make this wedding special for Andrea.   Tammie Woodard did all her beautiful floral arrangements, then stayed to serve punch at the reception.   Reene Hodges was the caterer and Leigh Hubbard and several other women jumped in to help (and it was beautiful).   Melanie Basham coordinated the event, planned the decorations, decorated and got everyone where they needed to be.  Christie Milligan from Hartselle made the cake.   She is blessed to be loved by so many talented women.   Everything was beautiful.

The wedding was chess themed, which included large King and Queen pieces as the table centerpiece.   These were adorned with a veil and boutonniere.  The cake had a checker board layer and the topper was crystal king and queen pieces.  The tables has crystal chess sets and the floral table centerpiece was also in a checkered pattern.     I have to guess that Andrea and Jeremy love chess 🙂 .

I wish them all the best and am thankful to have been given the opportunity to participate in photographing their beautiful wedding.
